Prime takes a deviation from his classic lettering to explore geometric abstraction in this piece, aptly titled Provisional, a title which calls the permanence of art itself into question. As the viewer’s eye follows the gray and white maze formed by circular motion, the piece changes before his/her very eyes. Each piece, color, shape, and form within the piece acts as a definition for the next, creating a satisfying and captivating flow of motion. Warm colors and pleasing motion evoke a sense of comfort with the space that this piece inhabits, pulling the room closer to home.
